has participated in a variety of Chamber events, and supports the goals and
ideals of the Chamber. They are actively involved in the enhancement
of the community. For example, O'Neal & Wages has renovated several historic
properties in Winder including the old First Baptist Church parsonage, and
they have built several industrial buildings in Auburn Industrial Park.
They have, and continue to, aggressively market Barrow County and local
properties to potential investors, business owners and home owners; thereby,
promoting positive growth, and bringing economic development to Barrow
County. O'Neal & Wages operates to the highest standards of customer
service, acting with honesty and integrity. O'Neal & Wages supports
local charities by donation, and volunteering. They graciously hosted
the Chamber's September New Member Reception. For these reasons I

Linda brings over 18 years of experience as an Economic Developer and Chamber of Commerce Executive. She is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional and is continuing her studies to reach Certified Economic Developer status. Linda's office is located in Braselton in The Peoples Bank building next to Publix. Barrow became the 44th community in the state to be named Entrepreneur Friendly by the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). To earn the designation, the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce completed the Entrepreneur-Friendly program with the assistance of GDEcD's regional representative Ryan Thornton. Program steps involved analyzing the current entrepreneurial and small business development environment and strategizing options for fostering small business and entrepreneurs. Barrow County also underwent a full-day assessment by a review team composed of GDEcD staff and representatives from the Small Business Development Center. Qualified entrepreneurs and small business owners in Barrow County are now eligible for customized market data, such as demographic and business information, to give them a competitive edge. The Barrow County Chamber is proud to be The 2007 Top Ten Ranking for Number of New Members for the under $200,000 dues income category. This award was presented to the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. This is the third time that the Chamber has achieved this award.
